It could be considered a "conspiracy".. however I prefer to look at this in a synchromystic fasion..

Jake Kotze set my wife and I on an odyssey so to speak... after watching his "checker chariots of the gods" video-- things started to become a bit strange..

First I must preface...As Jake shows in several of his videos, the freemason drawing board with its checkerboard "floor"... then we see in the movie Alice in wonderland (and videogame), that Alice travels through a tiny "door" to follow the white rabbit--- the room she was in has a checkerboard floor... actually in several movies, there is a reoccuring theme of a checkerboard coupled with a door, or gateway.

Jake ties together the 9/11 "Pillarmids" with the checkered taxis (aka checker chariot), and the stargate mega ritual..



Which leads me to my own personal discovery in this--

It happened while we were watching classic 80's and 90's "alternative" videos on VH1classics... I would not have caught this , if it were not for this "revelation" about the checkerboard and "black and white" symbology in general...

While watching 120 minutes, the video program--- I noticed that virtually EVERY music video--- and I mean literally about 95% of them.. begins, or features characters wearing black and white checkered shirts, black and white striped shirts, black pants white shirts, or other such variations on black and white. (duran duran seen below)



Usually within the first 30 seconds of the video this happens... sometimes the video begins with black and white, and then switches to color...

It doesn't matter whether its Rock, Rap, Pop, Alternative, Heavy metal, Techno---

A few examples... a heavy metal video featuring a woman laying on the hoods of two cars... a black and a white jaguar...



Then an adam ant video where the woman is wearing a black and white striped (zebra) 18th century dress..




Then a Falco video where he's wearing a black and white tux..



Then a run DMC video where they're wearing black and in a white room..



Then a madonna video where she's got white hair and wearing all black (you see the white after she takes off the whig)..



Then a Nitzer Ebb video where the singer is wearing a black bomber jacket and white undershirt...





These were literally one right after the other... all taking place within the first 30 seconds of every video..

Strange stuff...

Going to have to start my own blog to document these things..

One more thing...

The classic "ying yang" is black and white...

A chessboard.. where the king, queen, and all the arms of government wage battle is also black and white...

The most obvious one of course is that good and evil are commonly portrayed as black and white...

Just some food for thought, maybe it stands for 1's and 0's... holographic reality anyone?!

There was a movie called Awakenings with Robin Williams and Robert Denero. Patients were stuck in moments or in a fixed tremor. They would respond to different stimulations. One woman would only walk on the checker board colored floor. They colored in the white ones and she would walk on them.
Thats all that came to mind, but I have been noticing them alot more as well.

In almost every circumstance, including the use in "Awakenings" and very overtly with the Masonic tracing board, it is a symbol of initiatory process. It's been used in this manner throughout history. It was sacred to the ancient Pythagoreans. Part of this importance is based on the essential function of a grid for astronomical observation as well as all the visual arts.

Love the observation about the music videos of the 80's. This was amusingly spoofed in the movie "Music and Lyrics".

Been thinking about some movies I've seen...

In the matrix (1st one), there are at least 3 specific crucial pivot points of the movie where checkerboard patterns are used...

First is when Trinity takes Neo to meet Morpheous -- before he's unplugged from the matrix.. Neo meets morpheous in a building where for only a short second or two they show the floors, in the famous red pill, blue pill sequence you don't quite get to see it, only for a moment...

But later in the movie, in the exact same building..when Cypher betrays Morpheous and the rest of the crew... we see the SWAT team storms the building, running up the SPIRAL staircase no less... you can plainly see the checkerboard floors... and in the room where the windows become brick walls we also see them.

As if this were not enough, the black and white again shows up when Neo is taken into a "matrix simulation" where the "woman in red" appears... it is so obvious one might not notice, that the in the matrix simulation everyone is wearing black and white... I'm sure there are more--- will have to watch and re-watch to find them all..

Also lets talk Star Wars... Episode IV... the "first" star wars from 1980... after fade in... we see an all white ship against a black space backdrop--- then we have princess Leia, being chased by Black and White colored storm troopers... then we see (all within the first 10 minutes) a confrontation between ALL BLACK wearing darth vader, and ALL WHITE wearing princess Leia..

Coinscidence?! I think not... we have something synchromystic on our hands..

I wonder if movies are like a macrocosm of the Music Video phenomenon I observed...

Just watched "music and lyrics" as suggested...

Was quite shocked to see that this movie, that is entirely ABOUT music videos, would begin (within the first 30 seconds no less) with an ALL black and white theme. Quite hilarious too!

There is a weird connection that seems to exist between music video's and black and white, as I stated in the previous post.

Can't quite put my finger on "why" but for sure it is a real phenomenon-- not just confined to 80's and 90's videos either--

An interesting hypothesis, would be that this form of media (music videos) ties together in some fashion as a gateway... maybe not a stargate, but a form of reality shaping...referencing the checkerboard (i.e. the checker chariot, freemason drawing board, Chessboard, and multiple movie / art representations combining checkerboards and doorways or gateways) the symbology is all there in almost every music video... and music videos do transport a person to a different reality... especially if you really like the song that you're watching.

For years now, people imitate the fashions and actions they see in music videos... as made obvious by gansta rap causing/inducing violence, and certain ways of dressing-- or britney spears type pop music inducing girls to talk a certain way / dress provocatively. These are extremes of course---

Maybe the use of black and white imagry, coupled with the harmonics of music causes a certain pre-conceieved outcome?

Here's the spoof video from "Music and Lyrics". Damn, I actually really like the song, but I'm Gen X, so what can I say, synthesizers do it for me every time. YouTube is such a great tool, and it might be fun to present music videos encountered featuring the black and White patterning here.

On American Idol Gives Back last night, nearly everyone involved wore black and white, and even the stage was done in black and white. I suppose this was fitting, because it was a presentation of duality - the wealthy and comfortable giving money to help the poverty-striken and ill of the world, thereby becoming "idols" themselves.

Paula, however, wore a red dress (kind of like in the Matrix, where everything was black & white except the lady in the red dress).

Several famous and synchromystically interesting people, such as Whoopi Goldberg (ghost channeller), Miley Cyrus, Heart, Ben Stiller (Zoolander), Adam Sandler, Billy Crystal, Maria Shriver (Golden State first lady, Kennedy, and wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger), Kieffer Sutherland (vampire and Jack Bauer), Ellen DeGeneres (he-she), Robin Williams (alien and Fisher King), and more (see photos here: http://www.nypost.com/tv/galleries/04072008_idol/photo01.htm) had cameos asking for the audience to send in money, and if memory serves, every one of them wore black and white.

Annie Lennox (who is linked to the Nightmare on Elm Street/Kennedy/Lincoln thread) performed “Many Rivers to Cross” that includes lyrics about the White Cliffs of Dover:



The white cliffs of Dover are cliffs along the British coastline facing the Strait of Dover and France. The cliffs reach up to 350 feet high and is visually striking because it is made up of pure white calcium carbonate (chalk) accentuated by streaks of black flint. It was because of these cliffs that Britain was nicknamed "Albion" (white land).

Even if you're not into pop culture, it provides an enormous wealth of synchromystic communication.
